Transpersonal Cowboy

It's my job to sit and stare
that's why I'm so aware
When you look at cows for twenty years
sometimes the look gets weird
they stare at me and I stare at them
the cows and I just kind of blend

They say I'm how the West was won
that's a goddamn myth
the West is what I'm one with
When you work on a ranch, you get a lot of heat
if you love all life and you don't eat meat
So I guess I'm not a cowboy, if you ask one
I won't fight and I hate guns
When they get drunk and the jokes begin
I go to sleep and dream I'm an Indian

(Refrain)

I told Earl I saw his aura
and I lost a friend
and my front teeth

(Refrain)
