February 5th, 2005 - hola

Great show last night at the 400. A really impressive number of people in attendance including a lot of first timers, many of whom I had the pleasure of meeting. Matt was there to drum and Jason was there on bass and they and our Mr. Davis blew the walls and ceiling off the place. Songs were played from Nomen est Numen to the tunes that have no respresentation on official releases (including the two mentioned in the previous post as well as ‘Innocent Threesome’ which I will throw lyrics up for soonlike). For those attending the Duluth show and needing CDs, well… sorry we sold most of them last night in Minneapolis. The good news on that front is that you can indedd procure them from stuartdavis.com’s fabulous store: studio discs, bootlegs, and other swag.

I hope that all in attendance had as great a time as I did and I hope to see you all at the next show in town.

    Hey Stu,
I was the girl that came and talked to you that is 27 but looks a bit younger…. If you ever need a trumpet player…. look me up. 🙂 I live in the Twin Cities area for about another 2 years, and then will head out to either AZ or Boulder. P.S. Have you ever listened to the music of Alan Hovhaness? If not, check him out… it’s quite beautiful. Also, check out Henryk Gorecki’s 3rd symphony. Peace. Your show was yummy… like a really good piece of toast. WHICH, btw, you should try toast with melted butter (if you eat butter…I’m veggie myself but haven’t ditched butter yet), with slices of avocado on it with a little salt sprinkled on it. It MELTS on your tongue and for me personally, has an instant feeling of body happiness…you can actually feel your body responding to the food in a healthy way. Screw coffee—long live the avocados!

  4. Stu was rockin awesome in Duluth as usual.I still wonder what you wrote on my guitar last year. Peace!
